Early Release Basketball Bash 3rd-5th
Play like a pro! Your classmates become your teammates on the court as you scrimmage against one another. Scrimmage games are used to create chemistry between new teammates, practice plays and evaluate skill in a game environment. New this quarter: Basketball Bash! We will celebrate the end of the session with an evening of basketball at our CFSD High School Gym. You will compete against other CFSD elementary school teams in a District-wide event.
Early Release Capoeira K-3rd
Cool, flowing Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art/dance form, improves physical and mental strength and flexibility, encourages creativity, while increasing agility and confidence. Anne Pollack is the only master-level teacher of Afro-Brazilian arts & Capoeira in the state of Arizona. Instructor Aidan Miller-Wells has trained capoeira for over 12 years.

No prior experience is needed. Chess has been proven to enhance academic achievement and is a skill that will last a lifetime. Instructor, Ken Larsen, is a competitive chess player and instructor.
Early Release Crazy Critters K-5th
Get up close with animals and learn all about a new group of animals this quarter when Tucson Petting Zoo brings tortoises, rabbits, birds, bugs, and much more. Take part in crafts and activities related to learning about these fascinating creatures!
Early Release Kidz Art K-5th
A KidzArt certified instructor that will guide students through a different project each week. Students will learn how to break projects into simple steps, art terms and vocabulary, as well as experience and learn techniques for varying drawing mediums. Each week students will bring home a different masterpiece all their own. Our curriculum never repeats!
Early Release PlayWell LEGO Animal Architects-5th
Animal Architects using LEGO Materials. Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousand of LEGO parts as we design and build leaping dolphins, buzzing beehives, and towering giraffes. Play, create and learn in a world inspired by the animal kingdom. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.
Monday and Thursday Sunset Cheer **3:00PM-5:00PM**
Class meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00PM - 5:00PM Become a member of the first-ever Sunset Spirit Squad! Sunset Cheer will teach students the fundamentals of performing cheer, dances, stunts, and basic tumbling. Their experienced staff will also lead students through strengthening and agility exercises all while emphasizing teamwork and school spirit. This is a non-competitive squad but will have some local performances scheduled at later day.
Monday Ninja Warrior Camp K-3rd
Get ready for a challenge! This new class will give participants an opportunity to have fun testing their skills and abilities while going through various obstacles: Tunnel crawls, Cone weaves, Noodle crawls, Mat Rolls, Parachute runs and much more. Different course will be set up every day. Who will be Ninja Warrior of the day?
Monday Yoga for Kids 2nd-5th
Being playful and silly is a great gateway to introducing yoga to kids. Kids will have space for self expression, as well as connections to mindfulness and breathing techniques. They will focus on improving coordination, creating strength and increase flexibility all the while respecting their bodies, themselves and others.
Thursday Beat Drop Kidz K-5th
Beat Drop Kidz After School Program is a Hip Hop Dance Program that brings the fun of Hip Hop Dance directly into the schools! We teach Hip Hop in a Kid-Friendly & FUN way while teaching the “Code of Hip Hop” of “Peace, Unity, Love & Having Fun”. Students will learn several moves from various Urban Dance styles such as Popping, Break Dancing, Locking & More.
OPEN: Thursday FLL - LITE (FIRST LEGO LEAGUE LITE)
This four-week class ( April 2nd - April 23rd) gives students the opportunity to extend their learning in robotics and explore new engineering and programming strategies. It introduces them to the mission challenges that FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) teams will meet in the fall competition season. Participants will work individually and in teams to build with LEGOS, program the EV3 robots and accomplish missions.

PLEASE NOTE, THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON APRIL 2ND Learn the skills and techniques to master this field favorite and fulfill your enthusiasm for physical fitness and sportsmanship with. Build team spirit and camaraderie with your teammates. Compete against other CFSD elementary school teams in a District-Wide event. Participants will receive a team shirt. Taught by Coach Freedom.
Thursday Yoyos 2nd-5th
Come and learn hand eye coordination with Build a Skill Yoyo! Students will build their own yo-yos, learn tricks and more. Instructor Jess Gracia has been teaching yoyo skills to large groups of students for over 15+ years. Students will be taking home two different yo-yos in this class.
Wednesday DIY Beaded Jewelry 1st-5th
Learn how to create and design your own handmade beaded jewelry. We will use nylon-coated beading wire, beading elastic, wire, and waxed linen to create necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and hair accessories.
Unwanted and inexpensive jewelry is welcome for donations.
