Beat Drop Kidz After School Program is a Hip Hop Dance Program that brings the fun of Hip Hop Dance directly into the schools! We teach Hip Hop in a Kid-Friendly & FUN way while teaching the “Code of Hip Hop” of “Peace, Unity, Love & Having Fun”. Students will learn several moves from various Urban Dance styles such as Popping, Break Dancing, Locking & more!
Early Release Basketball Bash
Play like a pro! Your classmates become your teammates on the court as you scrimmage against one another. Scrimmage games are used to create chemistry between new teammates, practice plays and evaluate skill in a game environment. New this quarter: Basketball Bash! We will celebrate the end of the session with an evening of basketball at our CFSD High School Gym. You will compete against other CFSD elementary school teams in a District-wide event.

No prior experience is needed. Chess has been proven to enhance academic achievement and is a skill that will last a lifetime. Instructor, Ken Larsen, is a competitive chess player and instructor.
Early Release Crazy Critters
Get up close with animals and learn all about a new group of animals this quarter when Tucson Petting Zoo brings tortoises, rabbits, birds, bugs, etc. Take part in crafts and activities related to learning about these fascinating creatures!
CLOSED: Early Release Jedi Engineering using LEGO Materials K-5th
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles with LEGO® materials as we construct the Ewok Village on Endor, fly through space on our X-Wings, and defend the Echo Base on Hoth. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!
Early Release KidzArt
A KidzArt certified instructor will guide students through a different project each week. Students will learn how to break projects into simple steps, art terms and vocabulary, as well as experience and learn techniques for varying drawing mediums. Each week students will bring home a different masterpiece of their own. Our curriculum never repeats!
CLOSED: Intramural Kickball 3rd-5th
Learn the skills and techniques to master this field favorite and fulfill your enthusiasm for physical fitness and sportsmanship with. Build team spirit and camaraderie with your teammates. Compete against other CFSD elementary school teams in a District-Wide event. Participants will receive a team shirt.
We are currently looking for an after school coach at Canyon View from March 16th through May 15th for an hour kickball class session. We will be offering Intramural Kickball grades 3rd through 5th. Get ready for a challenge! This new class will give participants an opportunity to have fun testing their skills and abilities while going through various obstacles: Tunnel crawls, Cone weaves, Noodle crawls, Mat Rolls, Parachute runs and much more. Different courses will be set up every day. Who will be Ninja Warrior of the day?
Steel Drums 5th Grade
This group is open to any 5th grade student with little or no experience playing steel drums. Students will learn to read and perform music on steel drums and the culture surrounding steel drum music. Students will be expected to regularly attend rehearsals, scheduled performances and help move equipment when necessary. Class meets at Canyon View Elementary, must have your own transportation.
Tennis 2-5th **Ends at 4:15**
Serve it up! Practice your skills of grip, forehand, backhand, and volley while having fun with your team.
CLOSED: TGA Cheer K-5th
Discover how fun and exciting cheerleading can be! Coaches will lead students through drills and activities to build their skills in tumbling, stunting, choreography, motions, jumps, and performance. Students will also partake in labs to explore concepts like gravity, balance, and aerodynamics in cheerleading!
