Arts & Crafts K-5th (Early Release)
Come let your creativity soar with the talented Vanessa Coelho. Each week students will be work on an entirely new craft or art project that they get to take home.
Chess K-5th **Ends at 2:35 PM** (Early Release)
No prior experience is needed. Instruction begins at the child’s entry level. Chess has proven to enhance academic achievement and is a skill that will last a lifetime. Optional participation in weekend league tournaments will be discussed in chess meetings. Instructor, Ken Larsen, is a competitive chess player and instructor. He has led CFSD students to local, state and national tournaments.
Crazy Critters K-5th (Early Release)
Get up close with and learn all about a new group of animals this quarter when Tucson Petting Zoo brings tortoises, rabbits, birds, bugs, etc. Take part in crafts and activities related to learning about these fascinating creatures!
Intramural Flag Football (Fridays)
Learn the rules of the game and practice one day per week after school for the fall season. Build team spirit and camaraderie with your teammates. Compete against other CFSD elementary school teams in a District-Wide event.
KidStage Workshop K-5th (Tuesdays)
Our fast-moving and fun drama workshop will have your kids exploring the many facets of theater through fun, thought-provoking and stimulating theater games and activities! No acting or theater experience is necessary.
Play-Well STEM Fundamentals Using Legos K-5th (Early Release)
Master your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as: Boats, Snowmobiles, Arch Bridges, and Battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.
OPEN: Running Club 2-5th (Early Release)
Sprint your sillies out! In this running club we will play games, run obstacle courses and compete in relay races. Practice your stride, speed and pace. Come join the fun and become a better runner. All skill levels are welcome.
Sewing Club 1-5th (Wednesdays)
Join us to learn the beautiful art of sewing. Learn how to use the sewing machine, to cut patterns, essential construction skills and finishing techniques. Clothes, bags, pillow cases, designing and applying appliqués and even more are at your fingertips to create. Sewing machines will be provided.
Yoyos 2-5th (Early Release)
Come learn hand eye coordination with Build a Skill Yoyo! Students will build their own yoyo, learn tricks and much more. Instructor Jess Gracia has been teaching yoyo skills to large groups of students for 15+ years. Students will be taking home two different yoyo’s in this class. No experience is required.
