Odyssey of the Mind is a creative program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students of all ages. Teams of 6-7 kids apply their creativity to solve problems that range from classical literature to malware on the internet! The teams work together to produce an 8 minute presentation solving their problem. They show their solution at a competition at the regional level, state level, or even World level! All the solutions to the problem will be kid-powered, with no outside assistance from adults. The kids will be supervised by a coach in the creativity process!

To make the team you will need to attend try-outs on August 18 and August 25

Should these dates be a conflict for you, please contact Tiffanie Bialis at tbialis@cfsd16.org to arrange other possibilities.

The teams will be selected based on the problems that the kids want to solve and the dynamics of the team! These will be virtual Zoom meetings that will allow all students to learn about Odyssey of the Mind and the expectations.

OM will be on Tuesday from 2:45PM-4:15PM until the regional competition which will be at the end of February. Should the team qualify, the State competition will follow in March.
